Description
Skincare shoppers are skeptical by nature — they’ve been promised results before. LUMISKIN had the clinical formulations to back up every claim, but their store wasn’t making the case. We changed that, building a Shopify experience where science and luxury finally speak the same language.
The Challenge: LUMISKIN sat at an interesting crossroads — clinical enough to appeal to ingredient-conscious consumers, luxurious enough to compete in the premium beauty space. Their old store couldn’t hold both of those identities at once. It swung too far into sterile and transactional, losing the warmth that luxury skincare shoppers expect. Products with genuinely strong formulations were being undersold by a storefront that gave customers no real reason to trust the brand over the dozens of alternatives sitting in their browser tabs.
Our Approach: We built the store around two pillars — credibility and desire. The hero established clinical authority immediately, with “Clinical Efficacy Meets Luxury Ritual” setting the tone before anything else loaded. From there, the homepage moved customers through a carefully sequenced journey — skin essentials curated by concern, a category grid for easy navigation, and a testimonials section that brought in real customer voices at exactly the moment doubt tends to creep in. Product pages were designed to do the heavy lifting, presenting ingredients, benefits, and usage in a format that informed without overwhelming.
Results & Impact: Post-launch, LUMISKIN’s AOX Bright Boost Serum became their first product to sell out within a single campaign window — something the team hadn’t seen before. Overall store conversion improved by 44%, and the testimonials section recorded the highest interaction rate of any element on the homepage. Customers were spending more time on product pages too, a sign that the richer content was genuinely helping them make more confident decisions.
